Te Tauihu iwi have been working with Hāpai, a collective iwi property development partnership, to assess the opportunity to develop housing on a premium site near the Wairau hospital.
The site is 4.5 hectares, which could potentially support about 90-100 houses.
Ka Uruora is supporting Hāpai review the opportunity, including options to provide a range of discounted Iwi Rental, Rent to Own and Shared Ownership kainga solutions for iwi members in the Wairau project, alongside market sales.
